FiSHing for a Cure

Volunteer

We are always in need of volunteers to assist us with everything from day-to-day operations, to planning and organizing events, to just helping with individual projects or tasks. We understand that your time is valuable, so any time that you generously donate to our organization is greatly appreciated.

If you are interested in volunteering for any of the activities below, we would be especially grateful. To volunteer, simply call us at 425-827-8954 or send us an e-mail at letting us know how you'd like to help. Please make sure to include your contact information so we know how to get in touch with you.

  • Designing and/or helping distribute publicity materials.

  • Writing and/or editing for our press releases, publicity materials, website, and the Auction Catalogue for our annual FiSHing for a Cure Auction.

  • Serving on the Decorating Committee for the FiSHing for a Cure Auction, helping coordinate the decorations for the event.

  • Encouraging your friends, neighbors, and especially the businesses that you frequent to donate items or services to our fundraising auction.

  • Assisting our staff with mailings.

  • Volunteering at the upcoming Sixth Annual FiSHing for a Cure Auction on January 30, 2010 (e.g., registering attendees, staffing the silent auction, setup/cleanup, etc.).

  • Get your company involved.

  • Spreading the word about our organization and our cause; encouraging your friends and neighbors to support us and to invest in furthering FSHD research so that we can work towards a cure!
